Big Bang and Girls’ Generation sat atop the K-Pop and J-Pop charts in Canada. According to reports in local news agencies, the two groups clinched the top of the bestsellers in Canadian music station Musique Plus. Big Bang reigned in the K-Pop charts with the its fifth album “Alive, “ selected as the best K-Pop album. Girls’ Generation, on the other hand, ruled the J-Pop charts with its second full-length Japan album, “Girls and Peace.”
Girls’ Generation’s labelmates in SM Entertainment populated the K-Pop top 10. Super Junior was second with “Sexy, Free and Single.” 2012 rookie group EXO‘s “MAMA,” SHINee‘s “Sherlock,” Girls’ Generation TaeTiSeo‘s “Twinkle” were in fifth, sixth and seventh places respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are G-Dragon‘s solo effort “One of a Kind,” INFINITE with “Infinitize,” DBSK‘s “Catch Me,” and Super Junior‘s “Mr. Simple.”
