G-Dragon has created an account on Weibo, China’s social networking service, for communication with fans in China.
On September 13, G-Dragon opened his official Weibo account and uploaded a 30-second-long video as his first post. In the video, G-Dragon said, "Hello, Weibo fans in China, this is G-Dragon," in fluent Chinese.
G-Dragon added, "I created a Weibo account on Friday to bring the news to fans in China faster. Please visit my account and follow me. Check on me anytime you want.”
The news of G-Dragon opening a Weibo account has drawn much attention from fans in China since September 12. Upon the creation on September 13, up to about 70,000 fans followed G-Dragon on Weibo, showing their high interest in G-Dragon. (He now has 300,000+ followers.)
Big Bang’s Seung-ri also opened his official Weibo account in August to communicate with fans. He now has over 240,000 followers.
