According to surveyors, no idol makes them feel as safe as Big Bang’s T.O.P.

The movie production company Double Enjoy Pictures recently held a survey through Nate from October 12 through November 7. In it, the poll asked netizens to vote on which idol member they felt would best protect them if they were one’s neighbor.

Nabbing a whopping 62 percent of the votes, T.O.P came out as the man on top as he took first place.

Following behind in a distant second was B2ST’s Lee Gi Kwang who took 23 percent of the votes while SHINee’s Minho took third with 15 percent of the votes.

Big Bang’s T.O.P to Resume Filming for “Alumni” Next Week Posted by vip4daesung on November 9, 2012

Last September, it was reported that Big Bang T.O.P’s new movie, “Alumni,” had indefinitely suspended all filming due to the main director’s sudden departure from the production crew. It looks like filming has fully resumed lately, after the movie found a replacement director.

On November 8, local media OhMyStar reported that the filming has been going well after Park Heung Soo took over the lead director role. Park Heung Soo was the assistant director for blockbuster movies such as “The Front Line” and “Everything about My Wife.”

The filming reportedly resumed in mid-September. Originally, it was supposed to have 60 filming sessions, but due to the director change, the overall filming period is expected to be longer. One of the producers of the film was quoted as saying, “The filming is expected to take place until December. The script has changed a bit and our team has gone through some changes as well. The staff and the cast is the same. It looks like the overall chemistry is actually better than the past. Everyone’s doing their best.”

Big Bang’s T.O.P, meanwhile, is currently on his U.S. concert tour and will not be able to join the filming crew until next week at the earliest. Instead, the filming team is first finishing up scenes that do not include T.O.P in it.

Seungri will be casting in "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo" a.k.a Kindaichi Case Files 2hrs special movie! This movie is known as 【 金田一少年的の事件簿 香港九龍財宝殺人事件】in Japanese or "Kindaichi Case Files: Hongking Kowloon Treasure Murder Case". 

The story will be taken place in Hongkong's Kowloon and it's related to murder case and it's set to air on NTV Japan this Winter. FYI, Kindaichi Case Files is a serialized Japanese mystery manga series based on crime solving adventures of a high school student, Hajime Kindaichi. 

The special 2-hour drama features Yamada Ryosuke of Japanese idol group Hey! Say! Jump, who will play the lead role of detective Kindaichi Hajime, Taiwanese actor Wu Chun, Hong Kong's Vivian Hsu and Eric Tsang, and Seungri from Korean dance vocal group Big Bang. Kiritani Kenta, popular actor from "Rookies", will also be making an appearance.

Seungri as "Kim Rondon" in Kindaichi Case.

Seungri will be playing the role of Kim Rondon (or Ryongdong), a student from Korea who works part-time at a hotel in Hong Kong. Commenting on his casting, he said: "This is my first appearance in a Japanese drama! I'm very honored and pleased about it."

He added, "Kindaichi Case Files is famous as a manga and drama series. I'm nervous to act with international stars. I want to do my best and I hope the filming will be fun. Please treat me kindly."

According to reports, first half of the filming will take place in Hong Kong mid-September and the rest will be in Japan. The series was last shown 7 years ago as a drama special in September of 2005.

[NEWS] TOP to resume filming for 'Alumus' after Big Bang's Tour dates in Singapore! (120926)

A few days ago, Big Bang‘s T.O.P injured his hand while filming his movie ‘Alumnus‘. Due to the injury, the movie had to pause filming and T.O.P had to receive surgery. Fans were curious as to when he would could return to the set and it has been announced that he will be returning to film in the first week of October. 

T.O.P was released from the hospital after his surgery on the 24th. He will be attending the Singapore stop of the ‘2012 Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour‘ on the 28th and 29th, and then return to resume filming ‘Alumnus’. 

One of the staff members ‘Alumnus’ stated, “Big Bang has a concert in Singapore on the 28th. As planned, he will return to filming on Monday (October 1st) after his concert, or Tuesday (October 2nd) at the latest.” 

Hope that his hand is feeling better :D

T.O.P Suffers Hand Injury While Filming for Movie "Alumni" Posted by ygfan25 on September 22, 2012

According to information released to us by YG Entertainment, Big Bang‘s T.O.P has unfortunately suffered an injury on the back of his hand during the filming of his movie ‘Alumnus‘.

On September 21st, T.O.P was filming a combat scene that took place near a pieces of glass. During the filming, he unfortunately hurt his hand on a glass fragment and is reported to have been admitted to the hospital for surgery on the same day. He is currently resting at the hospital.

As the injury was not a minor one for it required surgery, the agency and the movie production staff were put into an emergency situation in which they had to make sure of T.O.P’s condition and recovery as well as figure out the changes in schedule. However, T.O.P is said to have been more concerned about the changes being made to the filming schedule because of him rather than the condition of his hand, and is insisting that he would like to carry on his scheduled filming.

In addition, T.O.P has a fan event planned at his movie filming location on the 22nd (today), and is scheduled to embark on the ‘2012 Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour‘ for the next 9 weeks starting next weekend.

As he has no problems moving around, he has insisted that he is able to go on with the fan meeting and the world tour. However, as his hand is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks to heal, it is expected that there may be some issues with filming for the movie for the time being.

YG Entertainment commented, “As one of the main characters, T.O.P is feeling burdened about the fact that the filming being postponed because of him, especially since the filming had to be halted earlier with the changing of directors… We will be discussing with his doctor to figure out a way for T.O.P to carry on his schedules without putting strain on his condition.”

Big Bang‘s T.O.P (Choi Seunghyun) will resume filming his new movie ‘Alumnus‘ under new directorPark Hong Soo.

Filming for the movie had 'recently come to a halt' after the previous director stepped down, however,Park Eun Kyung, head of ‘Alumnus’ production company ‘The Film‘ stated in a phone conversation with MyDaily on September 11th, “We will resume filming early next week with director Park Hong Soo.”

Park Hong Soo has worked as an assistant director for projects such as ‘Movie Is A Movie‘, ‘Blood Brother‘, ‘Notice‘, ‘Everything About My Wife‘, and more, and has also worked as an assistant director for ‘Alumnus’ as well.

Park Eun Kyung continued, “He has been with us since the beginning of the shoot, and so he understands it better than anyone. The staff members and the actors trust him and he himself showed ambition to take on the role. It’s not that we did not consider bringing in someone new, but we decided that someone on the inside would be most qualified.”

T.O.P will be making his big-screen comeback for the first time in two years through ‘Alumnus’, playing the role of Myunghoon, an assassin who infiltrates the South to save his sister.

Actor Dong Hyun-Bae has joined the movie “Alumnus”. Big Bang’s TOP (Choi Seung-Hyun) also has taken part as the lead role in “Alumnus”, which is regarded as a high anticipated job.


According to a representative from the movie, Dong Hyun-Bae will appear as one of the bunch ‘iljin’* of in “Alumnus”. The personality of Dong Hyun-Bae’s character is someone who tortures the protagonist (TOP) constantly.

“Alumnus” is a movie about Myung-Hoon, who grew up into a killer in North Korea, and comes down to South Korea in order to carry out his mission to murder. This movie is gaining a lot of expectation as it will be directed by Director Park Shin Woo, who has directed “White Night”, and TOP’s screen comeback after “Into the Fire” two years ago.Last year, Dong Hyun-Bae who had gained reputation from the movie “Metamorphoses (변신 이야기)”, has also appeared in a band in tvN drama “Shut Up Flower Boy Bang (닥치고 꽃미남)” and recently has featured in “Rude Miss Young-Ae (막돼먹은 영애씨10)”. Moreover, in this upcoming November and December, he is to participate in theater play “Scent of Love (국화꽃 향기)”, showing the face of “multi-man”.

The plot unfolds when Myung-hoon meets the female protagonist played by Han Yeri, with whom he falls in love.

“The Alumnus” is being directed by Park Shin-woo, who was also behind the hit movie “White Night” (2009).

[NEWS] Kim Yoo Jung to Play T.O.P’s Younger Sister in New Movie "ALUMNI"! (120626)

The upcoming spy movie, “Alumni” will feature a solid cast made up of Big Bang’s T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun), Han Ye Ri, and Kim Yoo Jung.

Not long ago, Kim Yoo Jung has been confirmed as playing the role of T.O.P’s younger sister in the film. The movie’s plot involves a situation concerning Kim Yoo Jung’s character. In the movie Kim Yoo Jung plays the role of T.O.P’s younger sister who has been kidnapped. The sibling’s North Korean spy-father had been killed because of false accusations. So it is now up to Myung Hoon (T.O.P) to save his only remaining family member. He takes up an offer from a spy agent, played by Cho Sung Ha, to train and become a spy to put a hit on another agent in South Korea.

Han Ye Ri has also been cast as she plays the role of high school student, Hye In. As part of his cover Myung Hoon poses as a student in a South Korean high school, where he inadvertently falls in love with Hye In.

T.O.P is excited to play the role of Myung Hoon. His ruthless killer looks coupled with the ability to play a high school student makes him perfect for the role. Just looking at him along with his passion makes people tremble. Kim Yoo Jung and Han Ye Ri both are very talented and cannot wait to work on this film. It is a pleasure to have such dedicated people working on this project.

The film is scheduled to begin filming in July and is projected to be released sometime later this year.

Big Bang members look like 'X-Men' in new music video? [NEWS]

Five-member idol group Big Bang is getting a lot of attention from recently-released pictures that remind people of the movie, X-Men.




On May 28th, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, released pictures of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri on its official blog, YG Life. The pictures were captured from the music video of the group’s new song “Monster”.



In the pictures, the group members show off their charisma through their costumes, hairstyles and makeup.


T.O.P, with his cold face and a black cape, looks like a young Magneto from the movie, X-Men. G-Dragon sports a red hair and is wearing black clothes, and looks like he's making fire with his hands. Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri also look mysterious like heroes from the movie.


Big Bang will release their special album, which includes 9 songs, in Korea, on June 6. The album includes 5 new songs, including the title song
Monster, which is written by G-Dragon and Choi Pil Gang,
Still Alive,
Feeling,
Bingle Bingle and
Ego. Songs from their 5th mini album (
Blue,
Fantastic Baby,
Bad Boy and
Love Dust) will also be included in the album.


The new songs will be pre-released digitally on June 3 and a music video for “Monster” will be released on the same day as well.
