[NEWS] Big Bang to be the first Korean artist to have a 3-Dome tour in Japan! (120910)

Big Bang will become the first Korean artists to hold a concert tour hitting Japan’s 3 large Domes. 

On September 10th, YG Entertainment announced that an additional concert date had been added as a finale concert for their ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 in Japan‘. Following their concerts to be held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka (November 23rd and 24th) and at the Tokyo Dome (December 5th), the ‘Special Final in Dome‘ concert will be held at the Yahoo! Japan Dome in Fukuoka on December 22nd.

 
Earlier this year, Big Bang held their a Japanese concert tour in May and June hitting up 5 cities with 13 concerts. With the addition of their remaining concerts in 2012, Big Bang will have performed for 355,000 audience members in Japan. 

YG Entertainment told allkpop that originally 150,000 tickets were prepared for their concert tour earlier this year, but over 1,000,000 ticket requests were received. Big Bang’s Dome tour was created as an expression of gratitude for the endless requests made by fans who were unable to attend their concerts. However, as their Dome tour became yet another hit in ticket sales, the Fukuoka stop has been added to the tour. 

Meanwhile, Big Bang plans to continue their ‘Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012‘ world tour in Singapore on September 28th. 

Such a big achievement to be able to perform in Japan's 3 largest domes :D is Big Bang coming to your country soon for their tour? ^^

[NEWS] G-Dragon Personally Provides Teasers to Upcoming Album MV! (120813)

Usually YG Entertainment takes care of promotions when its artists are about to make a comeback, but Big Bang’s G-Dragon is switching things up a bit and instead doing a little bit of self-promotion for his upcoming solo album.

During the period of three days from August 11 to 13, G-Dragon took to his Twitter to upload small teasers of his upcoming solo album. These teasers included photos of various things that happened on the set of his new music video set.

Some of the things that were included show a set with antique chairs and benches sitting in front of a wall that read ‘G-Dragon,’ an unseen man, presumably G-Dragon, wearing black and gold embedded boots with matching gold pants, and a spacious area that showcases different outfits encased in glass.

But the one spoiler that stood out the most was an elaborate origami flower that was made out of money, which attracted a lot of positive and negative attention. Netizens commented that by folding the paper money, G-Dragon was flaunting off his financial status as well as distorting government property. YG Entertainment has issued a statement, saying that the money flower is merely a prop for G-Dragon’s upcoming music video.

Also noted was the link, ‘http://xibgdrgnx.blogspot.kr/’ he posted on August 12, which led to a countdown clock, exciting fans that perhaps when time runs out his album will be released in time for G-Dragon’s birthday on August 18.

[NEWS] Big Bang & T-ara named the Kings & Queens for first half of 2012 album sales! (120627)

Gaon Chart has unveiled the top artists in physical and digital sales for the first half of 2012!

Perhaps to nobody’s surprise, Big Bang and T-ara were named the Kings and Queens of sales for the year so far, as they each came out on top in the categories of physical album sales and digital album sales respectively.Big Bang took first with their fifth mini-album, ‘Alive‘, which recorded 267,319 units in sales through May, setting it at a lead of over 100,000 units against SHINee, who took second place with 165,411 units with ‘Sherlock‘.Girls’ Generation‘s sub-unit TaeTiSeo took third with ‘Twinkle‘, recording 139,388 units in sales.

As for the digital charts, T-ara’s “Lovey Dovey” took the lead, followed by Big Bang’s “Blue” and “Fantastic Baby” in second and third respectively.Fourth was taken by the biggest rookie of the year, Busker Busker, and their greatest hit, “Cherry Blossom Ending“. The super rookies are a strong contender on the physical charts as well, as they’ve sold 104,180 units of their debut album to date.Following after Busker Busker is rookie Ailee in fifth.

Big Bang to perform at 'A-Nation' Music Festival on August 26 [NEWS]

A-Nation is a yearly music festival organized by Avex featuring its most popular artists. The format for this year's festival includes a "Music Week" from August 3 to 12 at the Yoyogi Gymnasium and a "Stadium Fes" from August 18 to 19 at the Nagai Stadium in Osaka and August 25 to 26 at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.


BIGBANG is scheduled to perform on the 26th in Tokyo. Other South Korean artists participating in the "Stadium Fes" event are Tohoshinki (Aug 19 & 25), Super Junior (Aug 25) and U-Kiss (Aug 26). For "Music Week", K-pop groups confirmed to attend so far are 2NE1 (Aug 3), U-Kiss, Shu-I and A-jax (Aug 9).
