G-Dragon’s appearance on ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ causes a record number of fans to apply for tickets Posted by vip4daesung on October 10, 2012

As rumored earlier, Big Bang‘s G-Dragon will indeed be appearing on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘, and with the news, the race to obtain tickets for the recording has been reported to have been the fiercest battle that ‘Sketchbook’ has witnessed.

It seems those who were able to obtain tickets were able to witness new softer sides of the singer as he planned a variety of never-before-seen performances.

One stage he showcased was a collaboration between himself and 2NE1‘s Minzy. The two put on “Missing You“, a song originally featuring Jaurim‘s Kim Yoona as the vocalist, but Minzy put her own fresh spin on the track with her vocals.

G-Dragon also performed another version of “CRAYON“, with a band sound, in addition to showcasing stages for “One of a Kind” and the unforgettable hit, “This Love“.

[NEWS] Big Bang Sells Out U.S. Concerts in 2 Hours! (120924)

As expected, tickets for Big Bang’s upcoming US concerts completely sold out within two hours.
On September 22 (US Time), ticketing for Big Bang’s Still Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 opened up in California and New Jersey.

A grand total of 24,000 tickets were sold, with New Jersey’s Prudential Center and Los Angeles’ Honda Center each seating up to 12,000 people at once. The New Jersey concert will be held on November 3, and Los Angeles on November 9.

With so many who weren’t able to get their hands on tickets, fans are petitioning to have Big Bang hold additional performances during its stay in the US in November.
Not only that, Big Bang sold out 30,000 seats for its concerts at the Hong Kong Asia Expo on December 8 and 9
On the demand for tickets, YG Entertainment stated, “With an unexpected amount of response in the US and Hong Kong, we are discussing additional concerts at the moment.”
Big Bang officially kicked off its world tour in Seoul in March and will continue until December.
NOTE: This article is a little off, but still fairly accurate. The dates for the concerts are actually LA on November 3rd and NJ on November 9th. They seemed to have accidentally reversed them. Also the LA concert was said to have sold out in less then 2 hours and the NJ concert in about 5 1/2 hours.

[NEWS] 5,000 Tickets for Big Bang’s Peruvian Concert Sold in 40 Minutes! (120803)

Since the announcement of not one but two concerts in Latin America, fans from the lucky countries (Peru and Brazil) have been waiting eagerly for the tour dates, tickets sale dates and prices.
It was just about last week when Big Bang finally confirmed the tour date for their concert in Peru, which will be held this November 14, at the Jockey Club of Peru. Ticket sales started this week on August 1.
This gathered attention from fans not just from Peru but also from other countries such as Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia and even Panama. Since the official announcement was made, fans started gathering since Sunday outside the official selling stores. There was an endless line of fans who even slept outside the stores in order to get their tickets.
Once the stores opened to the public in the morning of August 1, the agency stated they sold 5,000 tickets in 40 minutes. Most of them for the “Kandavu section”, which is right in front of the stage, and also they said they had to expand the section with just 200 additional tickets. Three hours later, the sales went up to 7,000 tickets with the “Kandavu Section” almost sold out.
The concert was originally planned with an attendance of 9,000 fans, but if the demand keeps increasing, it might be possible to even expand it a little bit further. This is one of the most awaited K-Pop concerts in Latin America so far, right along with JYJ‘s. Excited VIPs cannot wait any longer and hope for November to come fast!

[NEWS] Fans fired up for Big Bang Show! (120729)

K-POP SENSATION: Thousands queue in the wee hours to get tickets for 'Alive Tour 2012'

KUALA LUMPUR: THE K-Pop storm has whipped up a frenzy with more than 3,000 fans queuing  for the ticket launch in Bukit Bintang yesterday.
Fans from around the country gathered on Friday to get tickets to see the boy band BigBang (a sub-unit of K-Pop) perform live in Malaysia.
BigBang, made up of members G-Dragon, TOP, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, is one of the biggest K-Pop acts to hold a world tour this year, a much-anticipated concert that has led to sold-out nights in South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Indonesia.
Themed "Alive Tour 2012", the pop music group is set to perform at Stadium Merdeka here on Oct 27 before the superstars take on America and Europe to perform in 16 countries.
Language instructor Sheila Rahman from Penang queued up for tickets at 4am.
"My mom thinks that I am crazy, but K-Pop is the craze of this era."
"I just love their performance, style and looks!" the 26-year-old said in excitement.
She also flew to South Korea to watch them perform in June.
Mohd Raj Atan, 53, from Shah Alam, who was spotted in the queue amid thousands of young fans said, "My 20-year-old daughter has gone for class today, so I have been queuing from 6am to get her a ticket so that she can watch her favourite superstars live."
Part-time salesgirl Tan Kai Chin, 25, who started her wait at 10pm the night before, said she had to endure the hardships of not eating and holding her bladder to get the best tickets.
"It was not easy but I would definitely sacrifice anything just to catch a glimpse of them," said the Muar-born girl.
Tan, who has been a diehard fan of K-Pop since high school, said: "I have watched all three of the biggest K-Pop concerts in Malaysia. The BigBang would be my fourth."
Raymond Seow, 21, an undergraduate student at Monash University, was disappointed when he could not buy the VIP tickets which was priced at RM688, as it was sold out in 30 minutes after the booths opened.
"However, we still managed to get the priority premiere rock pit tickets which was sold at RM588," said Seow, who had waited since 5pm on Friday.
Concert organiser Running Into The Sun executive producer Wendy Ng said the BigBang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia was set to be the concert of the year.
"It will be a sky-high experience perfect for a night of high-energy partying, characteristic of global superstars BigBang's unique hip-hop and freestyle dance moves and famous party songs," she added.
Tickets were available from yesterday at ticketing booths and online bookings via Ticketcharge and Red Tix.
