Big Bang‘s Seungri made a stand for kimchi on a Japanese television program recently.

Seungri appeared on the November 2nd broadcast of Nagoya TV‘s ‘Jakiroba‘, which featured guests from Nigeria, France, Afghanistan, and Columbia who introduced food from their countries.

The Big Bang member decided to introduce what is likely the most traditional Korean dish: kimchi. He stated, “Kimchi is really delicious. Red food invigorates appetite.”

However, one of the international guests did not seem impressed. The guest commented, “Kimchi is just cabbage that’s been [massaged with hands] and fermented.”

Seungri then got up angrily and joked, “What did you just say?” The guest went on to explain that cheese is better than kimchi, causing Seungri to warn him, “Don’t look down on kimchi. [Watch your mouth].”

Netizens commented, “He knows what he’s doing”, “He’s great”, “I want him to become an honorary ambassador for kimchi”, and “I support his career in Japan”.

Big Bang to release "Special Final in Dome Memorial Collection" in Japan Posted by vic on November 6, 2012

Big Bang will release a special album in commemoration of holding concerts in the three biggest domes in Japan.

On November 6, a spokesperson for Big Bang reported that Big Bang will release a new album in Japan under the title of Special Final in Dome Memorial Collection. Including the members’ solo songs, a total of six songs will be contained in the album.

Big Bang, currently on a world tour, have decided to release a special album in commemoration of holding concerts in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, and the Yahoo! Japan Dome in Fukuoka. Big Bang will hold concerts in the Kyocera Dome on November 23 and in the Tokyo Dome and the Yahoo! Japan Dome in December.

On November 6, Sankei Sports reported that Big Bang’s G-Dragon said, “We’re very happy to release a special album in commemoration of holding concerts in the three biggest domes in Japan.”

Big Bang held thirteen concerts in five cities in Japan in May and June, attracting a total audience of 150,000. Including the upcoming concerts in the domes, they’re expected to attract a total audience of 355,000.

The group originally planned to hold concerts in two locations: the Osaka Kyosera Dome from November 23-24 and in the Tokyo Dome on December 5. As an increasing number of local fans requested more concerts, however, it came to add another concert at the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome to be held on December 22.

With the addition, Big Bang not only broke records in concert profits, but also in audience numbers. 

The final 'Alive Galaxy Tour' takes 3 places in Dome

Analyst Jin Heung Guk of Hyundai Securities said, "The decision to add another concert to Big Bang′s Japan tour increased the audience the group is expected to draw from 120,000 to 200,000 for the latter half of the year. The royalties from Big Bang for the first quarter of 2013, which were originally estimated to be 6.4 billion won, have also increased to 10.6 billion, and the business profits that were originally expected to be about 9.1 billion won have increased to 10.7 billion."

Even while the Korean wave continues to stumble over the Dokdo issue, Big Bang has proved it still stands strong.

It thus proved that bad diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan only have a small effect on the popularity of Korean singers in Japan.

The Korean band Big Bang is coming on the 14th of November to the Jockey Club of Peru with their 1st World Tour

HIP HOP EXPLOSION

The so called Kings of Korea. G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, members of the band Big Bang are the artists with the highest  record of both physical & digital sales in their country.

Their fifth album ALIVE sold more than 267.319 copies throughout  May. Their closest competitor got to 165.411 sales.

Are these numbers not enough for you? How about looking at the madness they cause in social networks?

Their MV MONSTER got 3 million views in YouTube only on it’s first day of release. They five interpreters, hip hop, R&B and pop dancers might be not as well known in the west as others groups but they have a great legion of fans here in PERU.

They are gonna be so excited to know that they are coming here on 14th of November in the Jockey Club of Peru. The k-pop group (Korean Pop) is coming as part of their world tour BIG BANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR,  for which they are visiting 16 countries. Only two for Latin America BRAZIL & PERU.

The band is gonna present the album ALIVE album. This one set a record because was the first Korean album to enter the Billboard 200, at number 150.

The tour is brought to us as a collaboration between the band&Live nation Entertainment . The company has organized world tours such as MADONA AND LADY GAGA’S, therefore a great stage is expected.Television screens made them famous. Through “Big Bang documentary” aired in 2006 through the Korean channel MNET, young people fell in love with the k-pop band.

The documentary showed a entertaining side but also how one by one the members who wanted be part of the band before debuting were eliminated.Three days after airing the last episode they gave their very first concert. The next year they released their first mini album ALWAYS. The single LIES, written by  G-DRAGON, was a massive hit.

From the very beginning the members were able to write and compose the lyrics of their own songs but they have also manage to maintain  solo careers of their own.G-DRAGON AND SEUNGRI are also solo artists, while Taeyang has studied acting&cinema at DEAJIM UNIVERSITY.

Daesung has branched  into the musical theather field -he was part of cast for korean musical CATS- and he has experience MC-ing television shows.T.O.P has focused on his acting career. Until now he has appeared in three shows.
