It has been announced that YG Entertainment and Hyundai Card‘s ‘Re-Monster‘ project winner, Afrodino, will release their digital single, “Chameleon” on the 21st.
Following the success of Big Bang’s “Monster” off of their album, ‘Still Alive‘, YG Entertainment and Hyundai Card teamed up for a “Re-Monster” project to discover talented indie musicians. The winner with the best cover, who turned out to be Afrodino with the most downloads of their cover, received the opportunity to release a digital single, music video, along with associated promotions under YG Entertainment.
Acoustic pop band, Afrodino, consists of members who are all 28 years old and have been performing on the streets of Hongdae since 2010. Their debut song, “Chameleon”, is an acoustic pop song which tells the feelings of a man who tries to change himself for his love. it has also been revealed that YG Entertainment was involved throughout the whole recording and design process, further increasing the anticipation for the new single.
“Chameleon” will be released on music sites on the 21st. Meanwhile, check out Afrodino’s cover of “Monster” below.
