Does GD miss his band members while on tour? Yes! So it's good to have them around (as guests)
The members are of great support to me especially when they are free and appear as guests, he is very happy that all his Japan dome tours were successful and attributes it to the fans!
GD is very thankful to all SG fans! He hopes he has a lot of fun and enjoy the show~ GD says we can look forward to his opening outfit the most this OOAK tour! He feels it's really cool!
Why just a cap for SG's press con compared to Taiwan's hat? Cause he needs to show new looks and he just liked the hat in Taiwan
GD feels that there isnt a particular challenging segment of OOAK tour but he will be under the rain for one segment! For SG's league, GD feels that 2NE1 is a good guest as they are trustworthy and can make an impact that he wants to portray
He learnt a lot while preparing for this tour and he is grateful for all the artists he has worked with and lessons he has learnt, at first he was definitely very nervous and worried working with big artists but as it went on they helped him and he was grateful.
GD doesn't know when exactly his new album will be but he is working very hard but do continue supporting ^~^. He aims that his album will be out in August but it's not confirmed! he thinks he's on the right track artist wise but he will always keep wanting more and he will always work hard.
GD says as a fashionista he will NEVER go nude//GD hopes all his fans will like whatever music he likes to produce and will be producing/releasing. One Production rep says GD is truly a fashion and music icon! Don't we all agree!!
GD answered a question asked by SG K-Wave: Does he want to work with any particular artist? He says not really but it's hard to pick one as they need to have the same vision so they can build synergy
GD says thank you and I love you to the press and has taken his leave!

[NEWS] YG Announcement About ‘G-Dragon & Taeyang’ + Collaboration with Missy Elliot Confirmed! (130628)

What are the plans for G-DRAGON’s solo concert?

G-DRAGON is scheduled to hold a solo concert at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena for two days on August 31 and September 1.

Technically, this will be G-DRAGON’s final encore concert for his World Tour. At the concert he will be performing his new songs from his 2nd album, which will be released on August 18.

Since GD has been holding his World Tour concerts for the last few months, he is not planning a new concert this year. Instead, he will be devoting his energy on his album work.

More details on GD’s August 18 solo album release?

As you all know, August 18 is GD’s birthday. But because it is Sunday (weekend), it would be difficult to release the song online.

To make it more special for the fans and GD himself, on August 18 he is scheduled to release the album on a TV music program and offline, while making the online release a little earlier, on August 14.

So there are no changes in YG’s once-a-week appearance on TV music program?

Was it 4 years ago that we announced it for the first time? I think it was, when 2NE1 made their debut around that time. When they made a debut we announced that YG artists would make an appearance on TV music program once a week. And for the last 4 years, the plan helped our artists carry out activities both home and abroad, which led to the increase in the number of international fans and the scale of our overseas market. On the other hand, we feel regretful that our Korean fans have a lot less opportunity to see the artists now.

We are sorry that our Korean fans did not have many chances to see BIGBANG who were on a World Tour for a long time after releasing a mini album at the beginning of last year, and also 2NE1 who left Korea for World Tour after releasing just one song “I Love You” last July.

So taking everything into consideration, we may come up with a new promotional method that is more suitable for us, rather than continuing the once-a-week appearance plan.

From the beginning of July, 2NE1 will be seen a lot more often on TV when they release “Falling in Love”. We will be having some in-depth discussion with our artists about appearing on variety shows, which is something we were holding back until now.

When will TAEYANG release his album?

We are thinking beginning of September for TAEYANG’s 2nd regular album. This is the first one in 3 years since his first solo album release in 2010.

Well, it’s time to go now but I will come back tomorrow with more good news on the details of TAEYANG’s new album and also on BIGBANG’s other members!

MORE Info about Missy Elliot Collaboration with G-Dragon

G-Dragon has reached the height of hip-hop credibility, with legendary performer and producer Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot featured on a track on his second solo album second solo album, to be released on August 18.

YG Entertainment record label founder and CEO Yang Hyun Suk officially revealed the Missy Elliot and G-Dragon collaboration on Monday. “With the second solo album, what we decided to do was to have one legendary foreign artist featured on it rather than have several,” Yang wrote.

“There were many male rappers on the list, but what YG was looking for was a female rapper, and there was just one. We found the answer so quickly and we were unanimous on choosing this artist. And she is Missy Elliott. If you know a tiny bit about hip-hop, you would know this legendary artist.”

Yet for any Missy Elliot fans that closely follow the star’s Twitter page, the announcement was old news. Missy blew the lid off of the G-Dragon collaboration back in January, when K-pop journalist Tracy Cozette asked her about it on Twitter, according to the website YG United.

“@MissyElliott I’m gonna need your track with [G-Dragon of Big Bang] like tomorrow!” Cozette wrote. “I’m too hype. It’s gonna be colossal.”
“@TracyCozette funny I did a record with [G-Dragon of Big Bang],” Elliot responded. “I don’t know if they got my vocals. This was last year.”

When fan Ghetto Adzz pressed her for details, the rapper and singer gave away a detail even YG Entertainment has yet to discuss.

“It was supposed to be a record with me and Ludacris up there too,” Elliot tweeted.

And although YG hasn’t mentioned the Ludacris collaboration yet, G-Dragon’s representatives confirmed it in March of 2012 to the website Soompi.

Apparently the recording has been in the pipeline for quote some time. “Ludacris and G-Dragon completed their work together last year,” G-Dragon’s representative said.

“Ludacris will be part of G-Dragon’s new solo album scheduled for this summer. He took the rap featuring part for a song written by G-Dragon. Since a world-renowned rapper joined hands with G-Dragon, you can look forward to it.”

Not only will G-Dragon’s August 18 album release date mark the four year anniversary of his debut album “Heartbreaker,” it will also be the rapper’s 25th birthday.

The collaboration between he and Ludacris reportedly happened because the Atlanta rapper asked to work with G-Dragon during a trip to South Korea in 2011. Stay tuned for more updates!^o^

Korean pop icon G-Dragon is launching his own Vitamin Water product next month.

G-Dragon has participated in Glaceau Vitamin Water’s new campaign “G-Creator Project” and the collaboration product is set to hit the local market next month, the brand’s promoter Imok Communications said in a press release Thursday.

To celebrate the new project helmed by the artist as its project manager and co-illustrator, G-Dragon is joining “G-Creator Special Party” at a café in Seoul next Friday, with the support of his labelmates Tablo and Lee Hi.

The iconic star will introduce the new product named “G-CREATOR,” with its catchphrase “With GD” and a special art label design, and tell the overall stories of his new commercial project.
