The movie ‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ (working title) has finally taken out its set of cards and revealed its cast, which consists of Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) from group BIGBANG, Shin Se Kyung, Yoo Hae Jin, and Kim Yoon Suk.

‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ is the sequel to Tazza, a movie released in 2006 based on a manhwa (comics) by artist Heo Young Mahn. The movie attracted 6,840,000 moviegoers and dominated the theaters during the Thanksgiving season that year.

The first ‘Tazza’ is directed by Choi Dong Hoon, who also worked on ‘The Big Swindle’ and ‘The Thieves’. For ‘Tazza: The Hand of God’, director Kang Hyung Chul, who became popular with ‘Speedy Scandal’ and ‘Sunny’, is in charge.

‘Tazza: The Hand of God’ is about Dae Gil, who has had a talent for gambling since he was a kid, making a bet on everything he has on a single game that will change everything as he jumps into the world of tazza.

The main character, Dae Gil, was played by Jo Seung Woo in the previous version. This time, the role is given to Choi Seung Hyun, who became the most anticipated star in the movie industry when he won rookie awards for the movie ‘Into the Fire’.

Actress Shin Se Kyung will play the role of Heo Mi Nah, Dae Gil’s first love, while Lee Ha Nui will play the role of President Woo, a wealthy widow who will mesmerize Dae Gil. Other cast members include Gwak Do Won, Lee Gyeong Young, Kim In Kwon, and Oh Jung Se.

The cast already started filming on January 2 in Chungryang-li, Seoul, and the movie is expected to be released in the second half of this year.

[NEWS] Tazza 2 "Hand of God" Reveals First Stills of T.O.P! (140103)

Attempting to fill in the huge shoes from the prequel, Tazza 2 unveiled a first look at the upcoming movie with new stills of Big Bang’s T.O.P in character.

The photos of T.O.P were released on January 3 by the production team of Tazza 2, who also stated that the first shoot with T.O.P, Yoo Hae Jin, Kim Yoon Seok, Shin Se Kyung, Kwan Do Won, and Honey Lee happened on January 2 at Cheongnyangni Station.

The sequel of Tazza will focus around the story of Dae Gil (T.O.P), a young man, who gets sucked into the world of gambling. Dae Gil is also the nephew of Goni, who was played by Cho Seung Woo in Tazza.

Shin Se Kyung will be playing the first love of T.O.P, while Honey Lee will be playing a wealthy widow.

The movie is scheduled to premiere in the latter half of 2014. See more photos below:~

*NOTE: "Tazza: The High Rollers 2" is based on "The Hand of God," a four-part manga written by Heo Young Man. The story that the original film was based on focused on gambling drifters who play the Korean card game Hwatu or War of the Flowers. The film’s main character Kim Goni has been cheated out of his life’s savings by professional gamblers and learns how to gamble to take revenge. It was one of Korea’s highest grossing films. In “Tazza: The High Rollers 2,” T.O.P. would play Ham Dae Gil, Kim Goni’s nephew, who comes to Seoul and also gets involved with gamblers. Stay with us for more updates! ^^
