The Manila, Philippines leg of BIGBANG’s Alive Galaxy Tour was named “Best Mall of Asia Arena Concert of 2012″ in the 2012 Manila Concert Scene (MCS) Awards. The concert was held last 24 October 2012, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Alive Galaxy Tour in Manila also ranked second in the MCS Awards’ list of ” Top 20 Foreign Manila Concerts of 2012″, beating concerts held in the Philippines by other notable international artists such as Lady Gaga and Maroon 5. The “Best Foreign Manila Concert of 2012″ went to Jennifer Lopez, for her “Dance Again World Tour”.

Winners for the 2012 MCS Awards were determined through a month-long online voting at the MCS website.

According to G-Dragon's acquaintance, on upcoming 5th, Dakota Fanning comes to Korea. she wants to meet GD for sure during the days she stays in Korea. she introduced herself as a fans of GD saying that she wants to have a meal with him.

A staff from YG Entertainment said that "TOP won't take the drama" to Newsen on January 3rd.

TOP had considered the casting of "JangOekJung, lives in love" affirmatively in the past November. But due to his filming and BIGBANG's schedules, he decided not to take it.

If TOP appears there, Kim Tae Hee who accepted lately that she is in a couple with Rain may be his counterpart. 

Meanwhile TOP's filming for Alumni is almost done.

An online community site posted couple pictures under the title “G-Dragon and Kiko Mizuhara’s Vacation Trip.” G-Dragon posted the left picture on his twitter on Christmas Day with the caption “Merry Pinkmas.” Netizens were able to trace the location to be the Sri Panwa Resort in Phuket, Thailand.

One fan claimed that s/he also spent Christmas there took the picture on the right and revealed G-Dragon hanging out with a guy and a girl. A witness claimed Kiko boarded a plane headed to Phuket around the Christmas holiday, making many fans think she’s the girl in the picture.

A source close to YG Entertainment opened on the matter saying, “On Christmas people do move separately but for their own personal schedules. Kiko Mizuhara is a close friend [of G-Dragon] in Japan but I’m not sure if they went to Phuket together.”

Both G-Dragon and Kiko Mizuhara, a model based primarily in Japan, have been the subject of dating rumors since 2010. Last year, the two were even snapped at an amusement park together as well as a restaurant looking cozy.

Did Big Bang’s G-Dragon Spend Christmas in Phuket With Model Kiko Mizuhara?

According to netizens, G-Dragon spent Christmas on vacation in Phuket with model Kiko Mizuhara.

On December 25, G-Dragon tweeted, “Merry Pinkmas”, and included a shot of a landscape at dusk as pink hues in the skies reflected off the ocean waters.” The picture was determined to be taken at the famed Baba Nest rooftop bar at the Sri Panwa resort.

However, one fan who alleges he or she was there on Christmas uploaded a picture showing what looked to be G-Dragon, with blonde hair, sitting with a male and female on cushions at the Baba Nest. The background of both pictures showed not only the same landscape but the exact same scenery and lighting as well.

Since the posting, fans are now alleging the male in the picture is G-Dragon’s friend Harry Kim (Seoulcialite Agency CEO), as Harry fans say Kim had posted a picture of food on his Instagram from the same hotel on December 23. 

Witnesses also shared they saw Kiko Mizuhara board a Phuket-bound plane around the same time.

Every December, Taiwan's radio station "Hit FM" compiles the year's most popular singles based on the fans' and the general public's votes. Ever since the Hallyu Wave invaded Taiwan several years ago, K-Pop songs have had a great presence on this chart. This chart is watched by many because, in addition to it being a fan-voted chart, it takes into consideration songs of different languages, and as a result, the competition is fierce.

Leading K-Pop artists on the chart is Super Junior, which grabbed the number three spot with "Sexy, Free & Single."

Another big winner of this chart is Big Bang. The group has proven its popularity in Taiwan after selling out its concert dates back in October. Their popularity is also supported by the results of this chart, as "Fantastic Baby" was the second highest ranked K-Pop song at #14, with "Bad Boy" following behind at #58. G-Dragon's "Crayon" settled in at #44.

PD Jo Hyo Jin of ‘Running Man‘ revealed that if he had to replace Yoo Jae Suk, he would choose Big Bang‘s Daesung.

The PD recently held an interview with a Singapore newspaper, where he was asked, “We love the fantastic combination of the current 7 ‘Running Man’ members. But if you had to choose someone to replace them, who would you choose?“. He answered, “I would choose Big Bang’s Daesung in place of Yoo Jae Suk. I am close with him, and even though he’s young, his reactions are very fast and he has a lot of fresh ideas“.

When asked, “Who is the guest that was the most memorable for you?“, he answered, “I was happy to be with all the big stars, but the most memorable is Big Bang. When Big Bang first came on set, they looked tired and exhausted as if they hadn’t slept for three days. But when the cameras started rolling, they burst out in energy. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the moment you have been waiting for: the results of the 2012 Soompi Gayo Awards! This is already our eighth year hosting this event to recognize the top performers and songs in K-Pop this past year. Note that the complete results of the gayo awards will be broadcasted by our partner MYX TV in January. We will have the details on the air date soon.

Thanks to PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” K-Pop music was able to jump into the next level of worldwide popularity. As PSY has previously mentioned, there are so many hard working artists in K-Pop that he is glad to ride along this “hallyu” wave which grows bigger each day. 2012 was certainly an unforgettable year for K-Pop.

All the artists that were nominated for this year’s awards have achieved great successes throughout various charts in 2012. Since there are so many talented artists, many popular names are still left out in the end.
